Presented in partnership with ATB Financial and AltaCorp Capital, CFA Society Calgary hosts the 43rd Annual Forecast Dinner on Thursday, Jan. 16 at the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre.
The sold-out Forecast Dinner features insightful discussion and debate on the future of financial markets.
The Annual Forecast Dinner is the premier event hosted by CFA Calgary and is one of the largest Forecast Dinners in North America. The audience for this event will be drawn primarily from both CFA charterholders and the broader professional community in Calgary, Alta.
Past attendance levels have been 1,000 to 1,400 people, including significant representatives from the elite in Calgary’s finance and business community.
The Annual Forecast Dinner has been a CFA Calgary tradition since 1977 where members, associates, and leaders from the business and investment community assemble to hear prominent members from the financial world speak, and to honour the achievements of CFA Calgary members, including the Volunteer of the Year, and Forecaster of the Year.
Speakers will include:
- Frances Horodelski, CFA, Capital Markets Experience, Investment Blogger;
- Ben Hunt, Chief Investment Officer, Second Foundation Partners, Author of Epsilon Theory;
- Larry McDonald, New York Times Best Selling Author; and
- Morgan Housel, Partner, The Collaborative Fund.
Special guests include Jon Horsman, Chairman and CEO, AltaCorp Capital; and Martin Pelletier, CFA, Portfolio Manager and Co-Founder, Trivest Wealth Counsel.
