April’s Automation Expo & Conference in Edmonton, Alta. will kick off with a breakfast icebreaker presentation by Cory Janssen, the co-founder and CEO of AltaML Inc.

“Fear not, this will be a tech-free presentation,” jokes Janssen. “No jargon, no geek-speak, just a basic look at artificial intelligence, machine learning and what they can do for business.

Janssen’s headline opening breakfast on Wednesday, April 29 is: Machine-Learning: What it is, initiatives in Edmonton, baby-steps, strategies for ROI, and how it’s revolutionizing every industry.

Janssen is an Alberta entrepreneur who started in a cramped office during the dot-com boom, is a past-president of the Edmonton chapter for Entrepreneur’s Organization (EO) and is active in the Edmonton entrepreneurial community.

His breakfast talk will look at what exactly AI/ML is, why it’s happening now, why there is an opportunity when AI/ML is a fit, what it can do for your business and why you don’t want to ignore it.

“Most importantly, how you can embark on an AI/ML strategy that ensures a ROI.
