Comparing Displacer Transmitters vs. Differential Pressure Transmitters for Liquid Level Measurement

White Paper - Magnetrol

The differential pressure level transmitter is one of the oldest technologies commonly used in the process control industry. The displacer level transmitter, a newer technology, operates using the same measurement principle. However, the two have significant differences. Learn more about how these differences impact the efficiency of liquid level measurement.

Wastewater Level Measurement Techniques

White Paper - Alpha Controls & Instrumentation

Level monitoring and control is a fundamental requirement in any wastewater treatment process. You will find level instrumentation installed at even the simplest treatment plants for pump control, chemical storage tanks and process level controls or alarms. Operators have only limited or emergency control over treatment plant influent, so level controls and instrumentation play an important role in managing the wastewater treatment process. Download this whitepaper to learn more about wastewater level and measurement techniques.

Using a Liquid Monitoring and Sampling Station to Increase Process Efficiency

White Paper - Endress+Hauser

Water sampling has been required by the U.S. EPA since the 1980s. Every water and wastewater utility or business holding a NPDES permit employs some kind of technique or equipment to acquire water samples, and a method to analyze the samples according to EPA guidelines. While some plants still take manual samples, in many cases, automatic water samplers are used. The vast majority of existing stationary automatic water samplers are used mainly to meet EPA NPDES permit requirements. These samplers are designed to minimize effects on the chemical and physical integrity of the sample, and to ensure adequate storage conditions until they can be analyzed in the laboratory.
