Heat transfer solutions for oil and gas processes

For many years, SPX FLOW has invested heavily in the development of its APV plate heat exchangers. Available as gasketed or, for particularly challenging process conditions, hybrid welded models, units offer high thermal efficiency, easy operation and straight forward maintenance.
APV gasketed heat exchangers use optimized plate designs to maximize heat transfer and offer the flexibility to be reconfigured to changing process needs. They are suitable for a wide range of applications including crude stabilization, dehydration, gas sweetening, gas or liquid refrigeration duties, and high capacity utility cooling solutions. Latest plate designs and materials give high thermal efficiency which enables a very compact design, resulting in a minimum footprint where space and weight are essential parameters.
Easy operation and maintenance are assured with features such as the APV EasyClip system, which makes the process of changing of gaskets more efficient using a glue-free system. Intelligent, hydraulic PLC driven frames are also available to enable rapid maintenance with improved safety and remove the risk of damage to plates caused by manual operations.
Repeatable, error-free maintenance of the unit reduces the risk of cracks, improves safety and offers substantial operational savings through reduced downtime and increased productivity.
The compactly designed APV Hybrid welded series heat exchangers are precisely engineered to maximize process availability with a tube on one side and plate on the other. They offer robust performance with the ability to operate under extreme pressure and temperature conditions. They have no elastomer gaskets and provide excellent heat transfer efficiency up to around 350°C (662°F) and 40 barg (580 psig).
APV Hybrid heat exchangers are designed with exceptional heat recovery performance to lower running costs. They are easy to clean and, by using optimized plate corrugation patterns, are low fouling, thereby reducing maintenance overheads.
Resistance to corrosion means they offer long service life, while their compact footprint makes them easier to install with reduced foundation requirements and lower initial engineering costs compared with equivalent or alternative technology. For easy maintenance, although the plate pack is fully welded, the housing is easily opened and, to ensure thermal efficiency is maintained, the unit can be fully and easily cleaned.
All heat transfer solutions should be specifically designed for the fluid and service required to operate safely. The APV plate heat exchanger is designed for rapid return on investment with better thermal efficiency, and lower maintenance costs with easier inspection and access for cleaning.
