Sean Kozicki, Western Canadian sales manager at Calgary-based Westech Industrial Ltd. has been introduced as the newest director of the Canadian Process Control Association (CPCA).
He has been in the instrumentation and automation industry for over 25 years, starting his career as a technologist in an instrument and valve shop.
Kozicki has progressed his career through roles in technology commercialization and licensing, product design and development, engineering, large project pursuit and sales. He has an Instrumentation Technologist Diploma from NAIT, an Electrical Engineering Degree from the University of Alberta, and an MBA also from the University of Alberta.
“I am really excited to join the CPCA board of directors,” states Kozicki. “Westech has been a long-time supporter of the CPCA, and we really see a lot of value in the association. It is my hope that I can continue to help with the current CPCA initiatives and help promote and grow the membership across Canada.”
The CPCA has also announced Peter Dello, central region manager at Thermo-Kinetics of Mississauga, Ont., is departing the association’s board. Dello served on the board of directors for 13 years, served as chair of the membership committee and in 2010, served as president, following a two year term as vice-president.
According to Dello, “I can tell you that my recollection is that the only company that has been in the CPCA longer than Thermo-Kinetics is ABB.
“I think there comes a time when a ‘new guard’ is required and I think that time has come for me. I have been on the board for several years now and my dad and brother were board members before me. I’m proud of the accomplishments that the CPCA has made over the years and I can take pride in the fact that we are a better organization for it.
“The CPCA has been a business resource for me, but even more importantly an avenue to make lifelong friends. (My wife) Sue and I have attended every AGM, which used to be in the fall and then switched to the spring since 1997, missing only one year. The good news for me stepping away from the board is that we will still attend meetings (whenever those happen again) and we look forward to that.
“I wish the CPCA all the success in the world going forward and I will be cheering from the sidelines,” says Dello.
