The MR Series of linear position sensors from Alliance Sensors is designed for use in measuring the ram position of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders. They offer a drop-in form, fit and function replacement for magnetostrictive sensors but with more robust construction, specifically targeting port-mounted applications for hydraulic cylinders and large pneumatic actuators. The contactless inductive sensing technology employs a solid probe construction style.
