Another popular industry gathering has been relegated to the dustbin, thanks to the continuing threat from the coronavirus.

The CPCA today announced that its annual general meeting for 2020 in Whistler, B.C. has been cancelled, with the next meeting set for June 24-27, 2021.

“Given the ongoing uncertainty of the economy and travel restrictions the CPCA Board of Directors has decided to postpone the AGM until next year,” states the press release. “This was not a decision taken lightly but a necessary one to ensure the safety of delegates and to make sure we host a successful event for members.”

The AGM is just one of a long list of conferences and events that have either been postponed or cancelled this year, due to COVID-19.

“We want to ensure members that the event will be back in its entirety in 2021,” continues the statement from the CPCA. “Typically this time of year is much more expensive in Whistler but we have been able to negotiate the same pricing offered for our 2020 event. June (2021) will allow delegates to truly enjoy all the fantastic outdoor activities this location has to offer.”
