Active rig count inches up to close out the week

Canada’s drilling rig count is up two active drilling rigs according to data collected by Baker Hughes for the week ending October 8.

From one week ago, Alberta rig counts increased one to 118 and the Saskatchewan rig counts stayed at 25.

Oil drilling decreased two to 95 and gas increased four to 72.
