Frac Shack names new chairman

Frac Shack has appointed University of Alberta alumni Michael Ross to chairman of the board, replacing outgoing chairman, Maury Van Vliet.

Ross had been a board member since October 2017, and is currently director and co-founder of a family held business advisory firm.

Ross graduated from the University of Alberta in Commerce and Business Administration and the Queen’s University Executive Program. A lifelong learner, Ross is also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR).

He is a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors and holds the ICD.D designation, and obtained a Director Education Certificate from the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), based in Washington, DC.

According to the company press release, Frac Shack would “like to thank Mr. Van Vliet for his service and guidance as chairman through five years of extremely successful growth and look forward to him remaining on as a board member.”
