ITT Inc.’s BIW Connector Systems brand will showcase its enhanced electrical wellhead penetrator solutions for the upstream oil and gas market at the Society of Petroleum Engineers Gulf Coast Section’s ESP Symposium this week (May 13-17) at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center near Houston, Texas.

The BIW exhibit will feature product displays together with the company’s advanced testing capabilities engineered to solve customers’ most pressing challenges.

“ITT BIW Connector Systems offers the upstream oil and gas market the most comprehensive set of electrical solutions available,” said John Dutil, vice president and general manager, ITT BIW Connector Systems. “From advanced testing to innovative wellhead penetrators with breakthrough features, our high value offerings are designed to meet customer needs. Our team of product experts, engineers and sales representatives will be available throughout the week to meet with visitors and discuss how BIW can support their current and future projects.”

BIW will showcase the following advanced products and solutions in the Exhibit Hall, Display Stand #50-52:

  • Metal-Lok Slimline Wellhead Penetrator – A high-utility system that is ideally suited for 300°F (149°C) and 5000 psi service, the Metal-Lok Slimline can be installed in most applications. It is a user-friendly well-head penetrator system with advanced features like crimp-free high voltage cable connections and BIW’s QuickThread connector engagement.
  • Tri-Lok Wellhead Penetrator – For years, the Tri-Lok Wellhead Penetrator System has reliably delivered electricity downhole when concentric wellheads were installed. Now, the Tri-Lok surface connector is field attachable, allowing oil producers to connect to existing surface cable infrastructure. The system is suitable for use in hazardous locations and is rated to 300°F (149°C) and 5000 psi.
  • Uni-Lok Wellhead Penetrator – A highly affordable system for 300°F (149°C) and 5000 psi wellheads, Uni-Lok offers a true pressure block and retrofits to any surface cable. Uni-Lok delivers dependable safety at the wellhead without the costs associated with more complex systems.
  • Advanced Testing  – BIW is one of the first suppliers of electrical penetrator systems to offer electronically monitored, ultra-high temperature and pressure testing for improved product lifetimes. In October 2018, the company introduced its $1.5 million autoclave test chamber capable of testing up to 650oF (343oC) at 10,000 psi.
